After immigrating from England with his family,
Robert Stallwood took up a trade as a baker in the
small Sunshine Coast hinterland town of Maleny. In 1967 Robert moved to Kingaroy to be married to his wife Betty and after 10 years in the canvas manufacturing trade, they established their own business in 1980. This business is still operational today and gave Robert and Betty the opportunity to expand from basic canvas manufacture into the realm of
industrial tool and equipment bags, kit bags, pouches, swags and tarpaulins. It is from this, that RBM Industrial Bags was founded.
A change in direction saw Robert and Betty’s son, Mark join the team in 1994. After having been a motor mechanic since 1986, Mark took to the business wholeheartedly, with great vigour and enthusiasm. He became a director of RBM Industrial Bags in 1995, and continues in this role today.
In 2000 the company moved to its’ current location and the quest to develop new products & supply opportunities throughout Australia and the world is ongoing.
The success of the company can be attributed to the progressive attitudes, experience and dedication of the management and staff. RBM Industrial Bags Pty Ltd is solely owned and operated by the Stallwood Family, with all 5 members currently employed.

After many successful years as a motor trimmer and upholsterer, Robert Stallwood founded RBM Industrial Bags in 1994. He has countless hours of business expertise behind him which ensures the company has a solid foundation and excellent reputation. Robert continues to manage the original canvas manufacturing company that he and his wife Betty began in 1980. On his days off, he enjoys gardening, reading and home maintenance.

Betty, alongside her husband Robert, founded RBM Industrial Bags in 1994, after a successful career in aged care nursing. Betty has 22 years of administrative experience and is committed to the growth and prosperity of RBM Industrial Bags P/L. Betty’s hobbies include travelling & gardening
Mark Stallwood
Chief Executive Officer/Director
Mark started with the Company in 1994 after 8 years as a motor mechanic. In 1995 he took over the daily runnings of RBM Industrial Bags and is responsible for its expansion into New Zealand and Papua New Guinea. Mark is also an auxiliary fireman and in his spare time likes fishing and camping.
